Why PWA
We could ship a native app. We chose not to.
Native apps mean app stores, review queues, install friction, and update delays. For a tool that should work in 10 seconds, that's the wrong tradeoff.
Slow, gated, fragmented
- ✗ Wait for Apple/Google review (days)
- ✗ 30-100 MB install
- ✗ Separate codebases for iOS, Android, Windows
- ✗ Users miss updates (manual)
- ✗ 15-30% revenue cut on paid features
Instant, open, universal
- ✓ Ship in seconds — no review queue
- ✓ ~2 MB install (less than one screenshot)
- ✓ Same codebase everywhere
- ✓ Auto-updates in the background
- ✓ No middleman ever takes a cut
